biography
Joel Armstrong is in his 4th year as an electronic music producer. His natural talent and hard work ethic are main reasons for his recent successes. 2006 to 2008 saw him take his music to new levels with a track signed to Baroque Records, inclusion on compilations for Markus Schulz's Ibiza, Shiloh'mix compilation Elements and Pole Folder's Frisky Radio compilation as well.
Joel loves music with tech, funk, melody and warmth ... anything you can dance to and yet still enjoy while relaxing in a lounge or at home. Joel has original tunes and remixes on labels such as Baroque Records, System Recordings, Sick Watona, Mango Alley, Nightshade, Ruhnsong Recordings, Lyon Echo Records, Babylon Records, Hunya Munya Records, Emote Music, Pacific Front, and Proton.
Many of his close friends in the EDM world are his biggest supporters and his biggest influences. He has worked personally with such artists as Shiloh, Micah and Sonic Union and has worked on remixes for artists like Boom Jinx, Moonbeam, Dumb Dan, Deepsky, Marc Mitchell and Ricky Ryan. He also runs his own label Dot Dot Records, garnering support from big names like Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, James Zabeila and more.
2007/2008 saw Joel pick up some fun residencies at clubs like Hush in Victoria, Heist/Century House Club and Red Room in Vancouver.
